Personal Summary

I am originally from Cali, Colombia. I moved to Edison, New Jersey in 1987. In November 2003, I moved to North Carolina. I love it! It has been a great change for my daughter and me. We enjoy the weather, dining out, shopping and all that the Lake Norman and Charlotte areas have to offer.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Before becoming a REALTOR®, I love Real Estate because it gives me the opportunity to meet different people, from different places and nationalities.

Since I have relocated a few times myself, I understand perfectly the stress, excitement, and emotions involved when you move to a new place. My expertise will help you to make an easy transition.

Since the market has changed due to the economy, I just obtained the CDPE “Certified Distresses Property Expert” certification, with the purpose of helping homeowners that are having difficulties staying in their homes and show them how to avoid foreclosure. Also to help buyers have a better understanding about short sales and foreclosures.

I consider this community an excellent place to reside and would love to share with you my enthusiasm for the many neighborhoods that encompass it. I pride myself on providing unparalleled service and look forward to developing a long-term relationship with you. Away from the office, I have a passion for animals, especially dogs. In my spare time, I help care for rescued and homeless dogs.

I want to thank Patricia Mukhtar for assisting me with purchasing my first home. I am persnickety and am sometimes impatient. Patricia was there to assist me every step of the way. She was patient and understanding. I know there were times Patricia wanted to strangle me. Once, I withdrew from a contract in order to get a better interest rate. I almost lost the earnest money. Patricia fought hard, and the seller returned the money. It was THEN I realized Patricia was an exceptional woman. She could talk her way in and out of crucial situations.

In April 2009, Patricia assisted me with locating a home just right for me. After the seller accepted my offer, Patricia constantly checked with my lender, the seller, and I to ensure things ran smoothly. One day before closing, Patricia and I discovered my lender changed the closing date. I was very upset because I had prepared a quick home warming eight days after closing. I couldn’t afford to reschedule the closing because I would not have had enough time to unpack and place everything in its proper place. Patricia remained calm. She spoke with a supervisor. She informed him of the countless emails she sent that went unanswered. The next thing I knew my lender was wiring money and sending closing papers to my attorney.

For six months, Patricia was patient with me while we looked at countless homes. She always had a smile and spoke kind words. She made my closing successful. So today, I am proud to announce I am a first-time home owner. I am enjoying meeting new neighbors, decorating, maintaining my beautiful flower garden, and having a place I now call mine. I owe Patricia Mukhtar my gratitude. There are times I miss her and just want to email her for the heck of it. It has been an honor to work with Patricia.
